Tuition Support for Low Incidence Areas
The MN Low Incidence Projects has funds available to partially support students pursuing special education licensure in Blind/Visually Impaired (BVI) or Physical/Health Disabilities (P/HD). These funds are made possible with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education. The intent of this tuition support program is to increase the number of available teachers licensed in BVI and P/HD throughout our state. The expectation is that teachers who benefit from this tuition support would then pursue BVI or P/HD licensure upon completion of course requirements, and actively pursue and/or be available for employment in this capacity.

Funding for student support is made possible with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education to the Minnesota Low Incidence Projects at Metro ECSU. The source of the funds is federal award Special Education – Program to States, CFDA 84.027A. It is possible that partial tuition support may continue to be available in the future.
